LaForge recovering after holiday scare

Delta State University’s President Bill LaForge experienced quite a scare over the holiday weekend while vacationing in South Carolina.

Amidst family fun on the beach and swimming in the ocean, LaForge sustained a head injury resulting in a subdural hematoma — a collection of blood on the surface of the brain.

“Spending a couple of days in the hospital was not how I planned to spend my vacation, but I was very pleased with the medical care I received while in South Carolina,” said LaForge.
