BPAC 25th Anniversary Season

Joining President LaForge is Laura Howell, executive director of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

The Bologna Performing Arts Center compiled a stellar lineup last season, including artists with a combined six Academy of Country Music Awards, six Country Music Association Awards, 11 Grammy Awards, 10 Tony Awards, and three American Music Awards, just to name a few. This season is sure to match it and more. Here is what’s on slate for the BPAC’s upcoming 2019-20 season.

  • 14 Main Stage Performances, including 8 concerts, 5 plays, and 1 contemporary ballet company
  • 6 School-Time Matinee Series, which will serve audiences of approximately 10,000 students and teachers throughout the region
  • 6 films that will be screened as part of the Southern Circuit Independent Filmmaker tour, with the filmmaker present at each screening

In other news on campus, mark your calendars for our annual Convocation where I will be delivering the State of the University address on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 3 PM in the BPAC. I look forward to sharing with the DSU family last year’s accomplishments and what to look forward to in the coming year.
