Rock singer Alice Cooper said it loud and clear in his 1970s hit song, “School’s Out (for Summer).” But at Delta State, there are many things to do on campus in the summer. Here are some numbers about some of our many summer opportunities in art, music, athletics, and outdoor recreation, to name a few.
- Last year, more than 300 athletes participated in Delta State’s football camps.
- 288 children attended the two sessions of Okra camp last summer.
- The DMI Summer Camp is a six-day interactive experience for high school students and explores four career tracks.
In other news on campus, summer session I classes begin today, but there’s still time to register. Registration closes tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29. There will be three orientation sessions this summer: June 3, June 24, and July 8.
