Margaret Tullos Field Symposium

On March 2, Delta State University’s Department of Social Work will present the annual Margaret Tullos Field Symposium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Caylor-White Hall.

This year’s theme is “Awareness, Advocacy, Action: What Will You Do with Your Seat at the Table?”

Active and retired social work practitioners, social work students, mental health therapists, and school counselors from across Mississippi are encouraged to attend.

This annual conference is named in honor of Professor Emeritus Margaret Tullos, who served as a field education instructor during her long tenure at Delta State. The event is sponsored by the Department of Social Work to offer continuing education credits to social work practitioners throughout Mississippi and to enhance their professional growth and development.

In other campus news, Delta State will host an Academic Day for the College of Arts and Sciences today at 11 a.m. in the second floor of the H.L. Nowell Student Union. In athletic news, the baseball team will play Harding University tomorrow at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the softball team will host Auburn University – Montgomery at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and on Sunday at noon. The baseball team will also host Auburn University – Montgomery, Alabama, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, and on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
