Everyone at Delta State is excited about the many activities and events planned for the coming months, and we encourage you to participate in as many of these as possible.
Plans are underway for the annual Winning the Race conference, our award-winning race relations symposium. This year’s conference is set for March 27 and 28, and we hope that you will make plans to join us.
The date for Go Green Weekend, one of the largest recruitment weekends of the year, is set for April 8 and 9. If you know a student who is interested in attending Delta State, be sure to get this date on their calendar and to contact our Admissions office at 1-800-GO-TO-DSU.
This semester, we will host another distinguished speaker as part of our Delta State Colloquia Series, as well as our annual International Business Symposium. We have yet another semester of exciting shows at our Bologna Performing Arts Center, including Alonzo King Lines Ballet on January 24, the musical Stomp on February 28, a performance of 42nd Street on March 20, and The Illusionists on March 30.
And, as always, there will be plenty of athletic events including basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, and swimming and diving. Complete schedules for athletics can be found at gostatesmen.com.
In addition to all of the exciting opportunities this semester, the campus will undergo some exciting changes as renovation projects begin on the music building, Zeigel Hall, and the Young-Mauldin Dining Hall. And, Statesman Boulevard, the long-awaited road connecting our athletic facilities with Highway 8, will begin taking shape.
