The Delta State University campus is filled with hundreds of elementary and secondary students from across the state and region who are participating in one of Delta State’s many outstanding summer camp programs. From recording industry camps at the Delta Music Institute to the annual Okra Camp and a wide variety of Athletic camps, Delta State offers many options available to keep young minds and bodies active over the summer months.
One of the longest running summer camps is the Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute, now in its 18th year. The summer program, operated by staff at the Bologna Performing Arts Center, has impacted the lives of countless emerging artists by providing opportunities for them to gain broad exposure to all types of artistic disciplines. Participants range in age from five years old to high school seniors.
