On this edition of fireside chat, President LaForge discusses this year’s exciting season lineup for the Bologna Performing Arts Center with Executive Director Laura Howell.
“Delta State places its greatest emphasis on excellence in instruction, but we also strive to provide programs and services that promote cultural development,” said LaForge.
One of the ways Delta State provides this development is through its state-of-the-art Bologna Performing Arts Center, which offers a rich tapestry of cultural and educational programs to serve the entire Mississippi Delta. The BPAC has been open for 20 years and has earned recognition as one of the premier houses for entertainment and arts in Mississippi and the Southeast. It was voted the Best Performing Arts Venue in Mississippi by Mississippi Magazine. The Bologna Performing Arts Center offers many forms of entertainment throughout the year, including Main Stage performances and School-Time Matinee Series as well as the Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute.
Howell tells the audience what they have to look forward to at the BPAC this upcoming year, and how the public can purchase tickets to the shows. The patrons look forward to a fantastic season.
