Fireside Chat

President LaForge chats with Suzette Matthews of the Cleveland-Bolivar County Young Professionals.

Delta State University and the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce have always worked closely together, and the partnership continues as the CBYP operates under the envelope of the chamber.

The group was created a few years ago for young business owners and professionals to connect and support each other. The CBYP and has been going strong hosting events allowing these connections to be made.

CBYP offers a wide spectrum of opportunities for young entrepreneurs and professionals for social networking, development and interaction, and is a great way for Delta State students to learn from young professionals in their career field of interest.

Suzette Matthews talks about the ways that employees and students can benefit from attending CBYP events. Suzette is a native of Perryton, Texas. She and her husband own Delta Dairy in downtown Cleveland, and she also works for Teach For America.

Matthews provides an overview of the young professionals group and benefits for employees and students. She describes how this organization has been beneficial to her and others involved.
