Joining President LaForge are two of our orientation leaders: Alexis Webb, a junior pre-nursing major, and Jonathan Kent, a junior health, physical education, and recreation major.
Last summer, 268 first-time freshmen students and 173 transfer students registered for our series of one-day orientation sessions. And we’re excited about this year’s expected turnout. Participants will learn about housing options, academics, and student life, as well as entertainment activities. They will interact with current Delta State students and meet with academic advisers to create class schedules. And parents are encouraged to attend the same session as their incoming Statesman or Lady Statesman and learn helpful information on a variety of other topics. Here are important numbers on this year’s orientation sessions.
- Orientation sessions will be offered on June 3, June 24, and July 8.
- There are 15 orientation leaders, and they’re all current Delta State students.
